Because day to day life can be very stressful, it’s always important to think about your health and well-being. Many times, if you eat something healthy, you’ll feel a big energy boost. You’ll probably be happier and more productive as well. I wanted to share a few simple tips and tricks that I use each day to improve my life and stay healthy!
Don’t brush right after eating
A lot of people believe that they should brush immediately after eating, but I read a health study from Howard R Gamble that stated otherwise. According to him, right after you eat, the tooth enamel is softened, and thus you will end up damaging your teeth rather than taking care of them. Instead, try brushing 30 minutes to an hour after you eat.
Drink water if you feel bloated
It may seem like this will make things worse, but it’s not the case. In fact, it’s the opposite. I found this to work great especially if you have a high fiber diet. It allows you to alter the gut “motility” which lowers the bloating symptoms. Plus drink water is good for your health.
Exercise when you feel tired
It may seem counterintuitive but it works! Exercising will boost your energy levels. If you find yourself in a state where you lack energy, it’s a good idea just to start exercising. Running and maybe a few simple workouts should be on top of your list.
Eat food that helps you stay full during the day
Instead of opting for the 100 calorie snack packs, I believe that it’s a much better idea just to go ahead and opt for a combination like peanut butter with an apple. It may have more calories, but this will keep you full during the day. Otherwise, you will end up eating lots of snacks during the day, and you will have a much higher calorie intake.
